7:00 PM Tech Meetup group at a bar in Upper West Side. I never go up this far. Well here we go.
To my estimate it is indeed raining. I’ve noticed 50% and under 90% of the time give a sprinkle. 60%+ give a big bang. Carry that umbrella.
Im riding the C Train to 81st. This is by far the least taken care of subway but hey it’s New York! New York or Nowhere! I can’t take the credit for that. I saw it in a local frame shop off of Hudson in West Village.
This is a long train ride. I’m used to either no subway or something like 14th to 18th when the heat is on outside.
Now at Times Square stop. Halfway there. I must say that I am very grateful to have family. Sometimes I forget how wonderful it is to give a member a ring. In rain or shine my calls always end in happy times even when topics are not always roses.
My ears from these breaks. Goodness.
Speaking of sounds. In The City, it is impossible to hide from sound unless one is in a corporate environment. Even then, there’s a parade on 5th Ave! From jackhammers, to the random guys in a fight speaking another language, to dogs barking and cars honking, as well as bikers with their stereos attached to their seats “control, control”, this city is a sound to be sung.
I’ve also caught on very quickly in 62 days to “time-wasters”. Yes, there are people that give every attempt to take one’s time and energy away from another person. I am so grateful for God’s grace on being given this powerful gift of detection!
My motto: If one isn’t earning money, they are spending it. If one isn’t honoring time, they are wasting it.
81st Street! (With a bang)
Great Tech Meetup. Looking forward to the next one next week. From crypto currency to side projects, Kickstarter to corporate, what a fascinating group and experience.
