Paris with JoJo!

Traveling is very exciting, especially when one is going alone.  This trip is my first time to travel alone without meeting someone on the other end, and I am thrilled to be a part of this great adventure.  I had many colleagues ask me if I were afraid to travel alone, especially internationally and I informed them that the opposite feeling happens to me in regards to what happens to them.  When I realize I get to travel alone, it’s as if the world is my oyster and I can make the voyage as phenomenal as I want all by process of thought.

A great kick-off to this adventure is that I noticed my flight is departing from Terminal D at DFW Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport which is my favorite terminal.  Fun fact: DFW International Airport is almost 20,000 acres and is larger than Manhattan.  In addition to that, DFW International Airport is the second largest airport in the United States, second to Denver.  This airport is enormous and is most definitely one of the big stops for many international flights.

It’s important to leave one’s home at least three hours before boarding time to ensure everything goes smoothly.  I recommend this process whether one is in their hometown or elsewhere.  I was greatly appreciative when I had an officer at the inspection state “My you look dapper.  That’s a great outfit!”.  It looks like I dressed the part for France!  I also took a few snaps that are seen in this post with my handy dandy selfie stick and a few pics getting off of the mega American plane that is a luxury to travel on.

I’d like to wrap up this post with arriving at my first destination “Arc de Triomphe.”  I was planning to have a photo shoot with my Parisian photographer but due to political conflicts, the photo shoot has been relocated.  The great news is that I’m in Paris and I at least got to take a snapshot of the beautiful and famous landmark with my fave luggage!  Speaking of my fave luggage, I was planning on walking around Paris with it during my photo shoots, but the handlebar broke.  It’s all good!  American Airlines and incredibly lovely staff replaced the bag for free with a more luxurious luggage that I know I’ll surely enjoy during this trip!

More to come! -JoJo
