Background Work Paycheck Details, Day 1 of YouTube TV Show, Upper East Side Properties, Stock Market Updates, & Paintings
I thought it would be interesting for some to see the details of a background workers check. So the check attached was for a TV show I recently worked on here in Manhattan and for 9 hours sitting on a plastic chair underground with no internet service surrounded by a hundred strangers in a very tight room where everyone needs to get up if one person has to get up after $53.09 removed the total earned is $156.52. I do not do background work anymore and am very grateful for the experiences as well as some of the acquaintances I’ve made. Also the check takes a few weeks to arrive.

Today is the first official day of working on my YouTube TV Show and I’ll start posting the details after the first episode launches which I hope to have that wrapped by Sunday if not sooner. My channel can be viewed here. One of my goals is to be able to name my channel. I love going live on YouTube but can only do it from my MacBook Air at this time due to the account being so new, just a few days really. The current requirements for being able to go live on YouTube with one’s iPhone is 1000 Subscribers & 4000 hours of real watch time. I’m guessing the real watch time means I can’t go on there and click play on my videos that are hours long and have the time build up. It’s gotta be real.

Speaking of real I’ve discovered something rather recently post-moving to the city. I’ve always known about being real vs being fake but sometimes there can be a slip and every time there’s been a slip I’ve always been punished by the universe in an enormous fashion. So lesson learned, be real and not everyone will like you but the universe sure will. By universe I mean higher power, one-self and one’s mindset, or whichever one chooses.
Love’s Looking Good Lady Antebellum. I bring them up because that’s what’s currently playing on my Alexa and it’s a really happy song which I always like to hear. I’ve also noticed that on Apple Music if you find a great playlist and want to add it to your library you can’t do that, at least I can’t. You have to add the songs to your playlist manually. I”m OK.
I’ve started checking out Upper East Side properties as that’s my long-term goal living here in the city. My favorite neighborhood is Lennox Hill and I love those properties close to Park Avenue.
The stock market looks great today for me. Today’s top movers are Twilio currently at $166.41 with a 52 Week Lo at $68.06 & a 52 week high at $170.00. 27 Analyst Ratings say 74% should buy 26% should hold and 0% sell. Twilio is focused on creating communication software that includes cloud platforms and services. It uses API’s Application Programming Interfaces that handle customer engagement. Headquartered in San Francisco the stock name is TWLO & went IPO in 2016.
I started doing 100 push ups & 100 dips every other day and they are done connected to another task such as after I hang up a call or right before I start one. For the way my brain works I can never ever do 100 push ups all in one sitting as I would cry of boredom unless there were a $10,000 check at the finish line every time.
Brooks & Dunn: Boots, Scoot, Boogie is playing on Alexa and that’s another happy song, country. Good to know. Just asked Alexa to play Brooks & Dunn for the first time in my life. We will see how this goes. OK so far so good.
I just shot with our camera man the intro to the YouTube TV Show and it looks good.

Neiman Marcus filed for bankruptcy but there’s a difference. Chapter 11 is doomsday tombstone. Chapter 13 is getting a handout from the government for a second chance. This is Chapter 13.
More to come! -JoJoYouTube TV Show, Studio Painting, & 8 Bottles of Wine for $30.00
Today as always it was quite an excellent day. I decided to start a YouTube TV show which I’m excited to launch starting tomorrow at least putting the first episode. It’ll be exciting to be coming up with the script and the creativity. This is truly what I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time. It all starts with baby steps. There’s no better place to start a YouTube TV show than New York City. I’ve learned to let go and remember that the key to a successful show is the content not how much time you spend thinking about it and perfecting it as there is no such thing as perfection. In fact it reminds me of perfection Eagles failure.

I got to paint today in my studio here in the city and I think it’s pretty cool. Are use the first layer as white and black which turned it into a gray base for the background with some interesting almost 3 dimensional looking features. Tomorrow I should be getting red and orange which I will carefully use on separate days and that also includes the remaining blues I have for the previous paintings.
I got to meet new people through Zoom today through a friend which is always great especially when they’re pretty cool people. I also purchased a few additional iPhone holsters for when I’m walking and running in the city for shooting more video for my YouTube TV show in future projects.
I just have to admit that Trader Joe’s is amazing especially here in the city has eight bottles of wine red wine which is my favorite comes out to be $27. Every day here in the city even during this outbreak I sense that my successes grow continuously and so do the opportunities and adventures. My father thought about attending NYU but that’s a whole Nother chapter. Until next time
More to come! -JoJoAlways a beautiful day here in the city and I initiated my daily “Thank You” cards ritual in which every day I leave a stamped and ready to go stationary post card to thank someone in my life in my own words and writing. This reminds me I need to buy new stationary as that was my last card and I know exactly what to do. Regarding stationary, I’m all about spending the least as it’s the thought and action that counts far more at least for me at this time. My favorite and reasonably priced black and blue pens can be purchased by clicking here for the blue pens and here for the black pens. One may receive so many with these two purchases one can pass them out to people who need pens which is all the time or carry extra ones in your pockets for that “If I only had a pen” moment.
It’s nice to speak with a familiar voice from long ago which reminds me to give people I think about a call every so often to catch up. I only use official Apple AirPods and only purchase them directly from Apple’s official website here. I’ve noticed that many times purchasing Apple products elsewhere leads to a zero guarantee of problem-free experiences which is far different than fashion purchases.
There were a few first timer moves I made today which I’m proud of myself for. I sense that I’m starting to really get into the groove of something spectacular in New York and it’s all about these tiny baby steps which may have come from a recent book I read called: Tiny Habits which can be purchased here. I’ve noticed something neat about my brain and it’s that it’s only days, weeks, or even months after I’ve read something it truly starts to set in. It’s never the day of nor even the day after. I wonder if that’s called something technical?
I started watching the TV Show Cheers for the first time ever and I have to say I’m learning a whole new range of vocabulary from Shelley Long and the show can be watched here. Alright until next time:

3:10 PM the sun came out today for a split five minutes and it felt amazing as it was one of the first times ever this April to have real pure sun peak on the rooftop.
3:35 PM bought a new Hamilton Beach single serve Coffee maker that does not require coffee filters and I didn’t clean the last one for over a year and it turned out fine so I thought you know why instead of cleaning the old one I’ll just buy a new one. Very reasonably priced and it can be purchased here. i’ve noticed that when you pour in the first car it actually takes more water in them lights out which long-term could be an issue if you don’t dump it out. I wonder how it lasted so long with it without dumping it and still drinking it for over a year. Just goes to show that not everything has to be cleaned all the time. That or I got lucky.
3:40 PM While I’m waiting for my coffee it looks like Tamiflu joined me in the kitchen. I always thought that she acted like a robot and really does seem like a robot kitty. It’s all based on the way her eyes blink very slowly in the way her tail wags very slowly in the way she looks up very slowly and it’s all with 20° angle movements.
Well I’m still waiting for this coffee to make I’m also celebratory because the Apple Music service decided to start working today as opposed to yesterday with ALEXA. Looks like the office next-door has been partially remodeled and no longer has creepy graffiti on the inside of the windows that are boarded up. Looks like they also left a window open.
4:19 PM Load of laundry is done. Still have to put masks on which is Hey OK. I’m getting better at laundry and not waiting for my dirty clothes to be busting from the bathroom door which makes it easier to transport and makes me more efficient and clean.
More to come! -JoJoBlacklist TV Show, TikTok, Manhattan Music Video, UNICEF, & Painting Ideas
Another great day in the city. It’s quieter than ever before and I’m getting more stuff done than ever before. Supposedly I’ll be on the 150th episode of Blacklist tomorrow at 8:00 PM EST on NBC but there’s zero guarantee. I’m a new kid on the block with TikTok and I’ve shot some shorts that seem to be funny which is exciting and a nice outlet. My friend helped shoot a film on the rooftop here in Manhattan which was fun and I dubbed over my voice with well my own voice on a song. Baby steps. Doesn’t sound great to me but I feel like something’s there but I haven’t hit it yet.
Very excited about my next painting project and concerned of turning it into doodoo colors accidentally with a brand new creative way of painting with oils but we’ll see. For those painting lovers you can get my favorite gallery wrapped canvas size: 24×36 on Amazon here. I’m super excited because for the first time today I ran my Instagram Live with a donation option to UNICEF and a viewer donated, how cool is that?
The featured image on this post is my post-results and yes 100% of that sweat is from my Oculus Quest VR headset performing some mega boxing punches and dance moves to my favorite Oculus games. Today in the city was wet and cold. The entire April in New York City has been this way and I am looking forward to summer, COVID or not.
Until next time.

More to come! -JoJoYep, it’s another beautiful day in empty paradise in Manhattan. Only man in Manhattan one could say. Still to be determined: I’ve never been more productive in my entire life than during this outbreak. I’m so grateful for a lot things including but not limited to my health and my sanity. I’ve literally created another world of possibilities during this historic time here in the city and I don’t think I’d have it any other way.
Had my friend film me on the rooftop singing a song by Josh Turner called “Lay Low”. I believe I could do a lot better & link is here. I recently applied to a few modeling agencies here in the city as I’ve had people continue to tell me to do so so I went ahead and did so. The same is starting for my voice over stuff. I’m looking forward to both whatever they will become.
I’m grateful and amazed that I really don’t know anyone that I’m very close to that has COVID. Oh yes, I painted today, my favorite 24×36 oil fresh from the city and it’s for sale local pickup & Venmo preferred: $149.61 is the sale price as that’s the exact cost of the materials including tax and shipping by the artist, me.
I’m doing a lot of new things I’ve never done before such as the latest painting, practicing voice overs with Wheel of Fortune, and exercising with my new Oculus Quest virtual reality headset which can be purchased here. Sometimes I get selfish and forget I live in the heart of one of the greatest cities in the world. It’s a nice reminder.
Until next time,
JoJo
More to come! -JoJoMy last post was last year sometime last Summer and I paused JoJo’s Jots because once I moved to New York City I entered a completely new galaxy that took my breath away. Not only did I make the right move moving to the city but I also put priorities in place and took a vacation from blogging to focus on expanding my horizons. I’ve now decided that blogging is now part of my successes and am looking forward to setting this blog as a platform of multiple successes and I sure hope it will be enjoyable.

6:00 AM Alarm
6:30 AM New angles for LiketoKnow.it Shoot
7:00 AM Starbucks Hudson & 10th. The team calls me JoJo and it’s pretty cool. : )
8:00 AM Double breakfast for LGA to CRP trip. I stop by my favorite West Village Deli on Hudson & Christopher Street and get a Sausage, Egg, & Cheese on a roll freshly made for $6.00 and it’s huge. Not bag New York.
9:30 AM I’m out the door and I take 14th St Uptown E to Roosevelt. When I exit it’s very distracting above ground so I just walk into a bus and ask the driver which bus for LGA. He’s very nice and says around the corner third lane to the corner. I thank him and when I arrive, I realize the fare is free. Well praise be. I’m also proud of myself for packing my weekend trip to an engagement party in my briefcase. No checked bags please! Life is good.
As I’m departing the city for the Texas beaches, I come across a thought process that is quite handy:
“There is no such thing as worry. Worry is the quick jolt to the brain that a problem is ready to be solved. One just had to recognize it as that and launch the mental focus of problem solving.” -JoJo
Speaking of, it’s time to get JoJo TSA approved. Will do so before next flight.
JoJo Story (Fiction): JoJo is ready for his engagement party and sits merrily in his seat and is proud of himself for wearing earplugs and a mask before entering the plane to be ready for takeoff.
JoJo wakes up in Denver, Colorado & the engagement party is in Corpus Christi, Texas. JoJo’s gate was 45 and he sat next to a passenger at the terminal with a Denver ticket at gate 46. They accidentally picked up each other’s boarding passes.
JoJo’s Special Jot: I have also discovered the power of being content and of being present. Little pieces are coming together on the real happiness that and genuine presence+focus that occurs in this reality dimension that is so intriguing and yet still somewhat of a mystery. There’s something I have yet to pinpoint on how it works but it continues to repeat itself the more I let go, focus, and choose to be very grateful for everything I have. It also blows in when I work very hard.
IAH Layover I get loads of work done. Interesting airport and Southwest does not fly here.
CRP 7:00 PM Happy place to land. Great to be at the beach.
