5:50 AM: I wake before my alarm.
6:00 AM: I set my alarm for 6:00 AM to get the minimum 8 hour as I needed to wrap up a few calls yesterday evening. I immediately changed my alarm to 5:30 AM. It’s all about baby steps lead to giant leaps.
7:30 AM: I have my two boiled eggs before heading to Hudson & 10th for my small black coffee with room for cream. Am proud to have started the day saving money by eating at home. I wonder what other purchases I can do this with while staying far way from penny wise, pound foolish?
7:45 AM: LiketoKnow.it photo shoot this morning in my newest dress attire.
- Eton Contemporary Dress Shirt (my first one ever) Size: 42 & 16 1/2 for the neck. It’s pure white with gorgeous blue buttons and the place to lock the buttons in are lined with a purple stitching. The shirt also looks fine and feels fine. I appreciate it very much.
- The pants are Banana Republic that are black with very light grey stripes almost invisible to the naked eye.
- The shoes are Allen Edmonds Made in the USA of Imported Materials from Park Avenue.
- The guy is JoJo.
8:00 AM: There’s an event today I’m thrilled to go to, two actually back to back in which formal wear is required. Work time.
10:00 AM: Work.
10:15 AM: LiketoKnow.it shoot in front of a new stoop. This one may be my favorite thus far. I’m also wearing my Croft & Barrow turquoise tie which has survived through it all & my black Jos. A Bank dress socks.
10:40 AM: I head out to my 12:00 PM dress luncheon as I like to be on-time of early, never late. When one is late for one thing, they are late for everything the rest of the day, week, month, year or a lifetime. Speaking of, the 2 train has been reported to be slow today, thats ironic.
11:00 AM: I take 14th St to 42nd St Times Square then swap to N Train within the subway tunnels and hop on the N to 59 & 5th Ave. If all goes well, I’ll be about an hour early, even after the 2 train snail pace. I’ll go for a stroll on 5th Ave for a bit before my spring luncheon.
11:15 AM: I arrive at my event far too early but wanted to confirm the right locations. I get to explore the location before-hand and it is gorgeous. I feel as though I have entered a palace. I do a Liketoknow.it shoot and then head up the elevator to the ballroom.
I walk up and immediately spot my name tag. I pick it up and it tells me I’m at table 3. Martha Stewart & Stephen Sills walk in. The fashions are fabulous and so is the food. A great salad, fish, and absolutely phenom chocolate from Nunu Chocolates https://www.nunuchocolates.com located in the World Trade Center. The chocolate is fabulous and I highly recommend visiting their landmark site and having a bite. I look forward to visiting the shop soon.
12:25 PM: American Federation of Arts Spring Luncheon: https://www.amfedarts.org Everyone takes their seats and Stephen Sills & Martha Stewart take their stage seats and have a great talk about Stephen Sills Interior Design work https://www.stephensills.com/. There is a lot of laughter with this group which is refreshing. Stephens work is fascinating as well as his stories.
2:15 PM: The lunch ends and I head to The Asia Society to take a tour.
2:30 PM: The tour is grand, I enjoy it. I do a LiketoKnow.it photo shoot on Park Ave and head to Central Park for my daily 6 mile run.
JoJo’s Jot: Equinox Greenwich Ave fans. The men’s locker room will be shut down for 9 weeks due to renovation. I recommend heading to Hudson Yards.
8:00 PM: Whole Foods $12.00 entree and two sides is a steal at Columbus Circle. I have a Salmon Chili Burger, couscous, and cucumber salad.
9:00 PM: I hit the hay and look forward to starting to wake up at 5:30 AM.
More to come! -JoJo
